6 April 2020, 10:44:00 CDT
Updated Interval Analysis slides and GPU Microarchitecture slides, which are linked to the lecture notes page.
3 April 2020, 14:40:35 CDT
Put links to Wednesday (1 April) and Friday (3 April) video and Friday (3 April) audio on the what's new list (which is what you are reading now). The 1 April lecture is Zoom-hosted and includes a transcript. The March and 3 April lectures are stored on the ECE servers and so don't include (AFAIK) a transcript. I've found that the 30-day deletion of cloud recordings can be turned off, so I'll be using cloud recording for the remainder of the lectures.
1 April 2020, 11:16:51 CDT
Homework 2 assigned, due Monday, 6 April 2020. This is a paper-only assignment.
30 March 2020, 17:33:09 CDT
Uploaded video and audio of today's Zoom lectures. Those are links to the media files, and may not work well. For example, you many need to download the entire video file (124 MB) before it can be viewed. I will look for better way to post video so that it can be streamed. There is a small problem with the video: it shows participants in a pop-up window blocking some material. On my screen the participant window was on the far right.
12 March 2020, 16:15:54 CDT
Classes cancelled week of 16 March 2020. I will probably assign another homework and perhaps we can hold informal classes the week of the 16th. We'll talk about this in our last in-peson class tomorrow. Of course, this Web page will be updated. Please practice social distancing!! Slowing the rate of infection will save lives.

Some have had trouble starting the CUDA debugger under Emacs. If that happens run "cuda-gdb hw01-cuda-debug" in a shell (a terminal window opened from Gnome or a shell window in Emacs). To set breakpoints with gdb run this way enter "break LINE".
