Short Bio

I am an assistant professor at Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), and Center for Computation & Techonology (CCT), Louisiana State University (LSU). I am also an adjunct professor at Computer Science Department (CSC) at LSU. I got my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University (SUNY) in August 2008, where I also got my M.S. degree in August 2005. I graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in August 2003 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science.
I won IBM Faculty Award (December 2011).
I was awarded LSU Flagship Faculty by LSU Today in Oct. 2010.
I am currently leading the Geometric and Visual Computing (GVC) Group at LSU. I am looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students.

Research Interests

Visual & Geometric Computing:

Geometric Modeling/Processing, Computer Graphics, Computer-aided Design, Physical Animation/Simulation, Vision, Visualization, Digital Forensic Facial Reconstruction, Computational Medicine, and Robotics.
