CDI Engineering: Part Time Work Available

CDI Engineering is considering to employ an EE student or two on a part time basis at the Baton Rouge Office in the Electrical and Instrument Department.   The main duties would be to apply sound engineering principles to assist with fundamental engineering such as gathering data & records, updating list, preparing specifications, simple calculations, reading engineering drawings, developing basic sketches, etc with direction from a lead engineer.

The candidate must have ability to read/comprehend instructions and write correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations is a plus.  Must possess knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.  Ability to use AUTOCAD is a plus.

They will be located in the Baton Rouge Office however they may periodically be required to travel to client job-sites (usually local less than day trip), usually heavy industrial (refinery/chemical) production facilities and will be required to pass background, drug test and safety training.  They will also need to be able meet physical demands to perform functions of job which may involve some climbing.
