Recent Funded Projects
- PI, "Collaborative research: SII-NRDZ-SBE: enabling fairness-aware and privacy-preserving spatial spectrum sharing," a 18-month grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The goal of this project is to develop spectrum sharing mechanisms to promote efficiency, fairness, and privacy by employing methods from both economics and computer science.
- PI, "Real-time in situ defect detection and process monitoring in additive manufacturing," a one-year grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents. The goal of this project is to develop a statistical signal processing and machine learning powered framework for monitoring and decision making during the 3D printing process.
- Co-PI, "Deep learning based multi-sensor integration for pavement crack detection," a one-year grant from the Louisiana Transportation Research Center. The goal of this project is to develop a deep learning system to automatically extract useful information from multi-sensor data for more accurate and efficient pavement crack detection.
- PI, "Efficient temporal-spatial spectrum sharing through voluntary exchange," a four-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The goal of this project is to develop more efficient and flexible access to radio spectrum via voluntary exchange mechanisms as well as novel ways to avoid interference.
- PI, "Reliable wireless communications in aircraft and other challenging environments," a one-year grant from the Center for Embedded Systems.
