For Homework 4 (not yet posted) read Kim ISCA 2013, which describes a method of reducing amount of computation and storage needed in NVIDIA GPU designs. The paper is also linked to the GPU descriptions page. The paper can be freely accessed within LSU. Outside, ask me for a password. Questions on this paper will be posted over the break and the answers will be due 19 April. (Note: I originally planned to assign the Stratton paper on GPU algorithm building blocks. A link to that paper is on the lecture notes page.)
