The Biometrics Project Laboratory (BPL) was established in 2005 by a grant from the LSU Student Tech Fee program. The laboratory was planned to (i) to provide the students an environment to learn and research, (ii) to support existing courses, (iii) to improve the design content of the ECE curricula, and (iv) to provide the LSU faculty the tools to do research in the biometrics field.

The BPL consists of commercial systems, software development kits, board-level development kits, and various other tools. The BPL is located in CEBA-3416, and open to all LSU faculty and students. The key to the laboratory can be obtained by contacting Dr. Aravena or Dr. Gunturk.
