ECE Doctoral Student Paper Selected as IEEE Competition Finalist

ECE doctoral student Yao Xu, right, has been selected among 12 finalists for the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) Student Paper Competition. Xu's research paper entitled, “A Model of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube Interconnects,” will be presented at the 52nd IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, August 2-5, 2009, in Cancun, Mexico. This year 478 paper submissions were accepted from all over the world. Of those 290 papers were selected for presentation in lecture and poster sessions and only 12 were selected under the Student Paper Competition. Xu's research is being conducted under the direction of major professor Ashok Srivastava.
