Ralph W. PikeRalph W. Pike is the Paul M. Horton Professor of Chemical Engineering and the Director of the Minerals Processing Research Institute at Louisiana State University. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and has served on the AIChE national program and ABET engineering accreditation committees. His doctorate and bachelor degrees are in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the author of a textbook on optimization for engineering systems and coauthor of three other books on design and modeling of chemical processes. His research has been sponsored by a number of Federal agencies and has resulted in over 100 publications and presentations.
