The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Louisiana State University invites applications for tenure-track positions at all levels beginning January 2005 or until positions are filled. Areas of interest include but are not limited to 1) Electronics, with emphasis on VLSI circuit design including mixed signal analog/digital circuit design, RF circuit design, MEMS and BioMEMS design and fabrication, and nano-materials and devices; 2) Computers, including microarchitecture, memory systems and special-purpose architectures, design automation (including system-on-chip design and behavioral synthesis), and networking (including traffic engineering and network security); 3) Systems, with emphasis in automatic control and digital signal processing; 4) Power, including power generation, power systems stability, and transmission. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field and potential for excellence in teaching and research. All but dissertation (ABD) applicants will also be considered. The positions involve developing sponsored research and educational programs in the candidate's area of expertise and participation in professional service activities.
