ECE Researcher Named IEEE Distinguished Lecturer

ECE Associate Professor Hsiao-Chun Wu has been nominated and named a 2009 IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Distinguished Lecturer. IEEE Distinguished Lectureships are granted to experts specializing in the field of interest of their society. These engineering professionals help lead their fields in new technical developments that shape the global community. Generally, no more than three Distinguished Lecturers are selected annually for each society.

During his four-year term, Associate Professor Wu will travel nationally and internationally to local chapters, universities and research institutes, and as part of the Broadcast Technology Society, he will promote and lecture on state-of-the-art technologies with advanced knowledge in digital video broadcasting (digital television) and wireless communications systems.
