Xue-Bin Liang received the B.S. degree in Mathematics from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 1988, the M.S. degree
in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 1991 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, in 2002.
In August 2002, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. His current research is focusing on some classical and frontier topics in Information Theory, Coding Theory, and Wireless Communications.
