Prerequisites:   GRAD 7 standing or
EE4702 High-Level Synthesis (offered in Fall over the lastfew years) or
EE7700/EE4760 Compiler Optimizations.
Goals: To familiarize students with:
(i) techniques used in power-aware high-level synthesis;
(ii) compilation techniques for energy and power management in general-purpose and embedded processors; and
(iii) software and architecture support for energy and power management in general-purpose and embedded processor systems.

Description and Topics: The course deals with aspects of energy aware computing and system design.

Grading:

  • Termpaper and Presentation 30%
  • Two tests (20% each)
