ECE Graduate Student Scholarships
The Division of Electrical & Computer Engineering is pleased to
offer the following graduate scholarships through the generosity of
alumni, corporations and friends of the Division. Qualifications,
funding amounts and numbers of awards vary by scholarship and are
listed below. To apply, please submit a completed scholarship
application to Beth Cochran in Room 150-D, EE Bldg. or email to
brobe39@lsu.edu, by the close of business Friday, October 7,
2016.
James R. Lewis Scholarship
- Award: Three students will be awarded $1,000 for the Academic Year
- Qualifications: Recipient must be a full-time first year
graduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering majoring in
electrical engineering.
Jayanti and Suresh Rai Fellowship
- Award: One student will be awarded $1000 for the Academic Year
- Qualifications: Recipient must be a full-time graduate
student. First preference will be for a female graduate student of
east Indian origin majoring in the Department of Electrical and
Computer Engineering. As a second choice, in the event such student
does not qualify, a female student of east Indian origin pursuing a
graduate degree in any engineering curriculum may be selected. As a
third choice, in the event such student does not qualify, a female
international undergraduate or graduate student pursing any
engineering discipline may be selected. If no student qualifies from
the three preference choices, then any graduate student in the College
of Engineering may be selected. A different recipient shall be
selected each year.
