Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Louisiana State University invites applications for tenure-track positions in computer engineering at all levels available August 2004 or until positions are filled. Though applicants from all areas of computer engineering will be considered, of particular interest are applicants with research interests in computer architecture (including microarchitecture, memory systems and special-purpose architectures), design automation (including system-on-chip design and behavioral synthesis), and networking (including traffic engineering and network security). Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field and potential for excellence in teaching and research are required. The positions involve teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in electrical or computer engineering and research in areas of individual interests. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Release time and resources are provided in order to enhance the development of a quality research program. Opportunities for summer support are available. In addition to the resources in the department, the faculty has access to a 1024-processor cluster.
