Neural Stimulators

Neural Stimulators

Neural stimulators are devices dedicated to eliciting action potentials on targeted neurons. The core innovative ideas of our approach are i) a completely passive neural stimulator circuitry with a wireless power delivery capability, ii) an implantable design in a small scale, and iii) remotely controllable and multichannel capable stimulation signals. This passive and wirelessly powered neural stimulator circuit does not require a battery, and it can be fabricated in a physical size. The energy comes wirelessly in a distance, so the neural stimulation device can easily be implanted in the body without having a battery or transcutaneous wires. Our immediate target is stimulating peripheral nerves for paralysis, pain management, and other therapeutic applications.
