Biometric Sensors

Biometric Sensors

Research in wearable biosensors has gained considerable momentum in recent years. Particularly, advances in electronics, nanoengineering, and other fields have led to a trend towards miniaturization and portability of devices that used to be confined to large tools. We target to develop wearable sensor systems including biometric sensors and supporting electronic systems for sensing, signal processing, and data transmission. Biometric sensors of interest are based electromyography (EMG), pulse oximetry, etc. In addition, a 3D printed exoskeleton glove is another active research topic in order to provide those with paralyzed hands the ability to open and close their hands so that they are able to manipulate objects.
