New Chairman in ECE On May 5, 2006, Dean Zaki Bassiouni announced the appointment of Dr. R. C. Woods to a 3-year term (Renewable) as Chair for Electrical & Computer Engineering at LSU. His term begins August 21, 2006. Dr. Woods comes to us from Iowa State University where he is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was born in Leicester, England, and was awarded the B.A. and M.A. degrees in Physics by New College, Oxford University. He was awarded the D.Phil. degree in 1980.
