ECE Computer Operations

If you do not have an account on the ECE Sun network you must apply for one before a personal web page can be configured. An application form can be obtained from the Electrical Engineering Building Room 150H.

Configuring your account

• Login to your ECE Sun account
• From a unix command line run the command createwebdir
  • This will create the directory public_html in your home directory and set permissions.
  • It will also place a test page in your web directory to verify the setup completed successfully

Adding your Web Pages

• After creating your web pages, place them in the public_html directory.
• If your public_html directory contains a file named index.html, a link will automatically be created on the ECE Student Web Directory Page.
• You are responsible for all content of your web space!!!!
